As the owner of Kristen H. Lane, CPA, based in Saco, Maine, Kristen serves individuals, businesses, not-for-profit entities, estates, and trusts, always applying a personal approach to her work. With more than 20 years of experience in the fields of accounting and taxation, financial reporting, auditing, and finance administration (across various industries), Kristen brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to her clients that is unmatched. Qualifications, Education, & Experience

Kristen is a licensed CPA in Maine, Massachusetts, Florida and California (inactive). Prior to acquiring and leading her own firm, Kristen spent 16 years at Deloitte & Touche LLP, serving clients in a variety of industries, including financial management and advisory firms, banking and lending institutions, real estate portfolio management partnerships, manufacturing companies, and utility service providers. Prior to her tenure at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, she spent six years in private industry in financial accounting and administration positions, including a two-year assignment in the Cayman Islands.

Community Involvement & More

After relocating multiple times throughout her professional career (from Boston, MA, to Los Angeles, CA, to Jacksonville, FL), Kristen and her husband were determined to invest in the community of their extended family in Saco, ME. At the end of 2017, Kristen purchased the accounting and tax practice from her husband’s uncle, Dana E. Lane, CPA. Since that time, she has become deeply involved with her community on both a personal and professional level.

Kristen is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and the Maine Association of Professional Accountants. She also serves as Treasurer of OLPS-US, a not-for-profit organization serving the needs of children affected by Aids in Kenya. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Biddeford and Saco, where she leads and participates in various community service initiatives. Kristen also serves as a teacher in the children’s ministry at Saltwater Vineyard Church.

When she’s not working with her clients to meet tax obligations and optimize their financial health, Kristen enjoys walking and biking to the beach any time of year. She is a retired runner, having competed in two Boston Marathons, numerous road races, and triathlon events. She resides with her husband, Brent, and daughter, Gretchen, in Saco, ME.
